This quote is the reflection of something I believe. Often times we put the heart first and always associate the heart with several things in life as if the heart is more than just another organ. "You broke my heart" a common phrase used by many. However, I have a different prospective. As stated by the young boy in "The Sky is Gray" I believe that the heart is just a vital organ with the function of pumping blood throughout our body. Instead of something inside our system with the function of getting hurt or feel love.
i agree to a point i feel that people today base things to much on the heart and people in the past didnt fully excericse the limits of there mind. There needs to be a happy medium between the two.
this is true because people usually believe that the heart has emotions and feelings but it doesnt. it only pumps ur blood.. your brain has emotions and does the thinking for u.. u have to depend on ur brain and not ur idea of what ur heart feels because u might only be implaning what other ppl tell u to put into ur heart
i am a person who believes in what I feel like, but I do have some limits. At that time and place, people were tired of the way society was going, so they stopped believing in what could be or in God. The boy could have been through times that the preacher did not know or did not care, but the boy sees every feeling one has a not from the heart but it is all in your head.
